Who we are
Our website address is: https://rakunas.lt.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent information to help detect spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be supplied to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here.
Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download images and extract this information from them.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you do not need to enter these details again when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login details and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and display preference cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login remains active for two weeks. Logging out of your account removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply identifies the article you have just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited that website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including when you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognise and approve subsequent comments automatically, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, if any, we also store the personal information supplied in their user profile. Users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time, except their username. Website administrators can also view and edit that information.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including information you have provided. You can also ask us to erase personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we must retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
